I will be the first to officially welcome Jerry Tillery to the team.
Welcome to the Bolts sir! Prove them doubters wrong and the believers right! Come in to work and get ready to lay down the hammer! I love this pick and am excited to see our defense get better!

Let's just say that I prefer him over Dexter Lawrence (who a lot of people mocked to us). Would have preferred OL but I'm glad we got DL help.

I'm reading mostly very positive things about the pick, and we desperately needed help at DT, so I'm happy.

Freak is a PON drafter.
Telesco is a PON drafter.
How many times do I have to pound this into you guys ?
We filled a big need there. Congrats Jerry. Welcome aboard.

Torn labrum. Here we go again Pfffffffttttttt. Healthy rookies are for sissy baby teams. The good news is his recovery calendar is June/July. Telesco is becoming a real undervalued player hawk of the draft. KA, King, blah blah. I think he has done it again. Rock on Tillery.

There may not be a more undervalued prospect in this draft than Notre Dame interior defender Jerry Tillery. As PFF’s second-ranked interior defender and seventh-overall prospect, Tillery is a pass-rush machine who consistently beats the man in front of him.
Tillery was one of the FBS’ best pass rushers last season, tying Quinnen Williams with the highest pass-rush grade for an interior defender. His quick hands and advanced pass-rush moves gave him the highest pass-rush win rate in the class. Furthermore, Tillery excelled when a defensive stunt was called, as he had by far the highest pass-rushing grade as well as the best win rate in the class on those plays.

GM Tom Telesco said he only keeps 15-18 players on a board that get 1st Round Grades. He had no problem taking a high second rounder at #28 if need be. The last 1st Round Grade he had left was Jerry Tillery. He said the Chargers scouts loved him. So he stuck to his list and drafted him.

Tillery is a smart man. Can’t teach intelligence.

I like this article a lot. Hope their analysis is correct: Tillery is the most accomplished defensive tackle in this class after Alabama’s Quinnen Williams. Tillery tied Williams for the highest pass-rushing grade at the position in college football. Tillery should hands down be seen as one of the elite prospects in the upcoming class and if he falls out of the top 10 someone will get a steal.

That told me they wanted him and he was on their big board. the torn labrum is minor IMO. Didn't he actually play with it?
