Never heard of him... Was he playing when we destroyed you guys at the Oracle, without Kawhi ? If it's the "National" Basketball Association, how is Toronto allowed in ?

If it's the "National" Basketball Association, how is Toronto allowed in ? Im gonna have to defer to (your BHC brother) jachba on this one...he’s the only regular forum member we have here who is qualified to answer the question. You could probably have just put a period after "only regular forum member."

As of last night, Raptors are the second team to have clinched a playoff spot this season.
Now, if the bracket can only remain the way it’s currently sitting....

Raptors will almost certainly be the 2nd seed. I don't see the Pacers holding onto 3rd. Im sure as a Raptors fan you would rather face them than Philly or Boston in the 2nd round. Don't look too far ahead Though. Detroit is a real possibility as the 7th seed with a brutal stretch of games coming soon. Raptors fear Detroit. GO PISTONS!

Since Olandipo went down, I’ve been thinking Indiana will slide as well, but that’s been what a month now ? The only ones that have been stumbling during that time are Philly and especially Boston, so I’m starting to wonder if Indiana can retain the #3 spot after all. If things stay the way they currently are, I couldn’t possibly be happier. I’m all for letting the Bucks, Sixers and Celtics beat up on each other en route to the Conference Finals, and will be OK with having to win at least 1 road game in Milwaukee in exchange for that (should the Bucks be unlucky enough to be our final EC victim that is). If Philly gets their act together, and overtakes Indiana for the #3 seed, well then I guess we’ll just have to knock the Bucks out of the way and go for the top seed. You’re Pistons are currently sitting at #6, and you’ve got #7 on your mind ? C’mon man, you gotta have more faith than that. The stretch of games coming up, will be child’s play compared to having to face the Raptors 4 games in a row.

This recent run the Pistons are on feels different but recent history will give any fan a bit of doubt in the back of their mind.

Hey Woods - you breathe a sigh of relief, the Suns are already eliminated from playoff contention, so won’t be a threat to your dynasty’s quest.
Did you guys at least rest starters last night ?

And last nights debacle in Brooklyn is exactly the reason for my above post. Not a very good night for the NBA last night: Not only a terribly embarrassing loss for the Raps, but Serge Ibaka can’t control his temper and gets ejected for fighting (with a suspension forthcoming). Lowry may also miss time with an ankle injury suffered late in the game (I sure hope not though because VanVleet’s return is still a ways off and Jeremy Lin is downright awful). Serge couldn’t control his punches any better than his temper either, as he didn’t connect with a single one of them ! He surely won’t be playing on Sunday when our teams face off again, which is gonna suck for us, because if there is a position we have no depth at its Center. Gasol has been a bust so far no way to sugar coat it, and given his experience and the talent surrounding him, he’s been given plenty of time to adjust. The Pistons...75 points, did they only play 3 quarters or something ? Russell Westbrook wants to fight a fan and his wife. I sure hope he gets a suspension that drags into next week when we play them twice The only thing that happened last night that I did like was Boston getting blown out.

Boston getting blown out is always fun. Not sure what Ibaka was thinking there. Nothing good every happens in those situations. I actually like Westbrook's response: /photo/1 Pistons had 36 at the half, nothing was going down. Brooklyn was at home and came to play. They now have the tiebreaker over the Pistons. Yes....Raptors trading JV for Gasol was a head scratcher to me when it happened and more so now. Sad when your players get suspended or injured during a blow out against a bottom 5 team.....I feel your pain. Good luck on Sunday.

Regarding the Westbrook situation, I think his second to last sentence is key....we haven’t seen footage of the entire situation. To me, both sides have made a pretty good statement with their side of the story, the problem is, the part of the situation not on video is what would make the difference. The fan was interviewed, and stated he said “go ice your knees bro, you can use it”...sure enough Westbrook is seen standing up yelling towards them with an ice pack strapped to each knee. It’s possible the fan was lying, and if so, he came up with a pretty good one. But it’s also possible that Russell misheard things, and severely overreacted. He had an incident last week where a young fan on the sideline gave him a light shove, so I think his patience with opposing fans is running thin as it is. I hope the footage of the entire situation surfaces, as I’d love to see what really happened (especially if it results in a suspension that runs through next week )

And last nights debacle in Brooklyn is exactly the reason for my above post. Not a very good night for the NBA last night: A bad couple of days. In addition to your list, there was the Klay Thompson fan-blaming; and did you see the owner of the Knicks interaction with the fan? Where the fan says "sell the team" -- and then the owner has security take his name and revoke his seats. LOL at having a professional sports owner on mike saying: "Have fun watching the NBA only from your couch from now on, buddy!" I admire the NBA almost as much as you admire the NFL, Chops.
