Meh. Can’t unrung that bell. It’s your right to feel that way if you want to. I’m certainly not going to try and defend a bunch of people I don’t know, who did something that was wrong. I don’t know how many people were in on it, as the cameras didn't show that, but I did for sure see a few people acting very inappropriately under the circumstance. My guess is they are probably not included in the group that has pulled together donations. The only thing I have to say is the morons who chose to cheer for a guy for getting injured, acted as individuals, and aren’t spokespersons for the entire Raptors fan base. Every fan base of every sport has their bad apples within, and unfortunately some of ours got put on display on the biggest stage the other night. Maybe it was karma for them, having to watch a one point loss, as opposed to being crowned that night. I didn’t judge the Warriors as an organization, when one of their minority Owners shoved and yelled obscenities to Kyle Lowry the other day, and I don’t think Raptors fans in general should be labeled by the actions of some bad apples either... Certain fan bases hold themselves in higher regard than others. If this happened in Philly no one would be surprised. Both San Francisco and Toronto have fans that think they are much more cultured and civilized than the unwashed masses that root for teams in “lesser” cities. That’s what makes this series different from others, the arrogant hypocrisy. From the idiot part owner, to Usher acting like an asshat, to fans cheering an all time great sustaining a career threatening injury.

Not my cup of tea. Throw both of them and Harry Connick in a boat and send them out to sea.

Raptors come out red hot to start. Lowry scores 11 straight and Siakam hit 2 threes.

Hell of a first half, and it’s all pretty much been secondary stars & role players.
Kawhi & Curry should have a lot of energy conserved to put on a show in the 2nd half.
As a Raptors fan, I’m loving that Lowry is on tonight & Siakim has seemingly shaken his close out game jitters,
Warriors fans on the other hand should be happy about the way Iguadala & Draymond (and even Cousins) are playing.

Klay was finally having a great game and goes down and out with a bad knee injury on an awkward fall. Win or lose the Warriors have so much heart that it’s impossible not to be impressed with them.

37 million Canadians and a few band wagoners in the US were waiting for Kawhi to answer Doris Burke by saying he’s be back. He didnt

Curry didn’t want a game 7 without Klay. He’d already done that in The series. Only way to explain his 4th quarter

OK, just made bail for breaking the noise ordinance in a residential neighborhood last night....
First shout out has to go to Masai Ujiri for making some risky & controversial trades, which paid the ultimate price. Assembling a Championship team with no lottery picks, and while keeping the Owners out of the luxury tax threshold. He’s one hell of an Executive, and I’m sure he’ll be highly sought out by other teams (including the Wizards) after this. Whether he stays, or goes on to a new challenge, he’ll always be the man in Toronto.
Kawhi of course gets the next shout out, for being the #1 reason on the court the Raptors accomplished what they did. I hope within the next couple weeks it develops that he’ll be around for a few more years. I believe he’s got too good of a situation to walk away from, but regardless of what he chooses, I can’t be bitter with him after the way he handled himself in this Championship run. As I said from the very beginning, he’s a Top 2 or 3 player in this league !
Major props to Nick Nurse, on winning a Championship in his rookie year as an NBA Head Coach !
The rest of the Raptors all earned this as well, from stepping up when needed, and for winning 18 of 22 games that Kawhi rested as part of his load management program, to be in prime shape for the playoffs. Major props to Fred VanVleet who came up with his best performances in the biggest games, when everyone else was calling for him to just get buried deep on the bench.
Lastly, major props to the Warriors for putting up a hell of a fight that anyone should be proud of. They lived up to their team name for sure. Klay Thompson is one hell of a player, and whomever ends up with him, will have a top player in this league in their roster.
It’s incredible to watch your team in the very last game of the season, and for that game to be a moment where trophies are being hoisted !
#WeTheNorth #WeTheChamps!
