Klay Thompson has a torn ACL. This finals series destroyed NBA free agency True Story: I took a knee for the final minute of play, so I didn’t give myself a serious injury jumping up and down, and possibly landing awkwardly. Possibly true story: I spent the night in jail, instead of the hospital.

Kawhi is now one of three nba players to be finals MVP for 2 different franchises. He joins Kareem and Lebron in that group. And just think, chopper31 had him ranked 8 or 9 when he’s now an all timer. Sad. Ahh, behold the joy of a band wagoner. |

I see where some Realty Broker is offering him a multi-million dollar penthouse in Toronto if he stays. The city has a campaign to keep him where businesses give him services for life. Like eat here for life, barbershop for life, etc. That's pretty awesome, and they are hell bent on him staying.

37 million Canadians and a few band wagoners in the US were waiting for Kawhi to answer Doris Burke by saying he’s be back. He didnt LOL @ anyone who was actually expecting that. The only offer he currently has on the table is opting in to the final deal of his rookie max contract, which everyone knows has a 0% chance of happening.

Curry didn’t want a game 7 without Klay. He’d already done that in The series. Only way to explain his 4th quarter It wasn’t his game in any of the 4 quarters. It wasn’t exactly Kawhi’s greatest game either, last night was much more about all of the others (for both teams). I don’t think anyone would care for a Game 7 without Klay. I’m very satisfied with last night being the final game. It wasn’t as awesome of a moment as the Game 7 ending in the Philly series, but much better than a non-competitive game.

This finals series destroyed NBA free agency The KD and Klay serious injury situations show just another reason why I think that the technique of trying to build a team mostly through Free Agency is not a very good way to go. Teams like the Clippers & Knicks who traded away very good players to clear cap space for major FA signings this Summer are now in a rough spot. They still might get what they are looking for, but they may also have to sign one of these guys and wait until the 2020-21 season to actually get something out of them. Using cap space to acquire someone via trade is a much better option (IMO), because once you have them on your roster, cap space doesn’t have the same meaning when it comes to resigning them AND you can pay them more than anyone else can.

They are the only ones to win more than 1 Championship, a DPOY award & Finals MVP. Kawhi & Hakeem have 2 of each, Jordan only has one DPOY.

Hats off to the Warriors, who fought like champions to the very end. Congrats jachba !!! St. Louis, Toronto,,,,,,is it the Chargers year ?? Thanks, Freak. As for the Chargers, we all certainly hope so. Two days after the Raps winning their first NBA title and for many people it's just now starting to sink in. The celebrations downtown after the game were for the most part peaceful and the city is gearing up for the Championship parade on Monday starting at 10 a.m. This Championship was a long time coming for Raptors' fans, who endured the early years with Damon Stoudamire, the heartbreak of 2001 with Vince Carter missing the shot that could have sent the Raptors to the Eastern Conference finals and the acrimony that resulted from (or fueled, depending on your point of view) his departure, the lean years until the DeRozan-Lowry era and the disappointing playoff losses until finally breaking through this year. The last time Toronto celebrated a Championship win this big dates back to the Blue Jays 1993 World Series win and the dramatic Joe Carter homer to win it all.
