You love to live in the past and revel in that retribution.......might as well just fire anyone that makes a mistake. Won't be long before FA's avoid your club as well as coaching staff.....going to get hard to win using dumpster staffing plan. Dump Gordon for what you can get...... How is the dumpster plan different from the plan we've seen the past 20 years or so? No difference. That’s been the hiring plan for decades. |

Players? no agreement there. Plenty of solid acquisitions over that time span.

Players? no agreement there. Plenty of solid acquisitions over that time span. Generally the word "staffing" is not used with regard to players, and that's the context I assumed in my reply. |

The coaching staff decisions have been a dumpster fire.
The player acquisition since 2004 has been okay — some hits, many misses, lots of injuries (could be in part poor health background work, or could be coaching and/org bad luck; but difficult to dismiss the possibility that it’s partially in the staff’s player evals and background work).

Some hits, a lot of misses, very rarely do we get a home run with TT.. Home run acquisitions: Derwin james, Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, Desmond King (iffy). That’s about it.

That draft pick was used on fullback Derek Watt. Watt had been a staple to paving the way in the run game, but he hasn’t been used as much this season. Two years later, Telesco shipped wide receiver Dontrelle Inman to the Bears for a conditional seventh-round pick. Inman bounced around a few different teams before ending up with Los Angeles earlier this season. Inman is now on IR. Earlier that year, Telesco also acquired quarterback Cardale Jones from the Bills for a conditional draft selection. Jones served as QB Philip Rivers’ backup for two seasons but was released in August. These trades show that Telesco isn’t afraid to make deals, but he is conservative with them. Los Angeles is missing a lot of key players because of injuries and they could benefit from a splash acquisition, especially if they’re looking to make a run in their last nine games. Prominent targets such as offensive tackle Trent Williams would be ideal, but history shows that it’s unlikely to happen. Running back Melvin Gordon is a target for many teams, too. Are the Chargers on the same page as many fans and feel that he isn’t needed anymore? Or are they going to wait until the offseason to worry about it? The bottom line is that a trade could occur in the coming days for the Bolts, but don’t be surprised if it’s a player of lesser value.”
