Yeah, that Muscle Shoals documentary might be my favorite music-related film ever. For anyone that likes that soulful, rock/R&B, you gotta see that film. A very interesting film especially because the “swampers” were all white and cut some of the most influential r&b records in history The Swampers could play. Turned out many hits.

Sam Farmer posted this portion of his interview with Detroit Lions Hall of Famer Lem Barney talking about singing backup on Motown’s Marvin Gaye’s all-time classic “What’s Going On”. What a great story!

Loving the new album from my favorite band: Tool
I have tix for the show near me in November. I have seen them 11 times and looking forward to the next one. My first Tool show was in 2000.
I have seen so many bands over the years but nothing is like the experience of a live Tool show.
Anyone else into Tool or going to a show in the fall?

I’m definitely done for the year with concerts, and not quite sure when the next time I’ll go to one may be. I used to average about 7 or 8 Shows per year, for many years. But at this point, I’ve pretty much seen everyone I would want to (at least once), and unfortunately when I see repeat performances they usually aren’t better than previous ones (due to aging).

Actually, all three of Maynard's bands. I've lost count how many times that I've seen them. Probably, l will see them in Charlotte this November.
