The Chargers really let Melvin Ingram, Adrian Phillips, Hunter Henry, and Desmond King win their revenge games.

A couple of more defensive (if you could call yesterday’s effort defense) stats.

Cook (apparently) giving up on routes has been an issue all year, not only on these disastrous INT’s but also that insane pass from Herbie out of his own end zone that should have been caught for what would have been one of the NFL plays of the year.

I can't think of the offseason right now, too focused on this one.
With Cook getting old, and Parnham wicked concussion, -----we now need a TE.
Someone put it on my list. I'll get back to it.

Loved the James pick when it was made, but as talented as he is, availability has been a challenge. Bosa has the talent as well, but he just flat out disappears too often. Is that being schemed out by the opponents, or what? ? Regardless, I would trade them both if the return was acceptable.....rebuild around young talent hungry to make their star shine! I wonder what it would take trade wise......Let me help you with what it will take. Nothing is what it will take, and I'll explain. Our defense needs help. They will not, double down will not, start with getting rid of the only 2 Pro Bowlers on the defense. You are welcome Trade Bosa and James to Jax for the #1 overall......then flip that pick to some crazy QB hungry club for three firsts spread out over three seasons, and two seconds over next two seasons. Solves what to do with mr. broken and mr. disappear....and adds serious talent to the roster on cheap contracts.

Question would be though, if there is a QB in the draft worth that much?

Of course, Joe McRugby just fainted to the floor. But you can't make an omelet without breaking a few Mods. Or something like that.

Question would be though, if there is a QB in the draft worth that much? Every plan has its' challenges..... I listed QB because that is the position GM's get stupid about. I have no idea if there is one or not for this next draft, but the hype machine will create one, just watch. Looking out over time, projecting what will be is what brave GM's do. I say it now, Chargers do not win a Super Bowl with either Bosa or James on their roster, so move both now while value is high. I also say this now.....the Chargers will win a Super Bowl with Herbert......so roster build around that contract. Consider this: if my proposed trade were to actually happen (we all know it won't).....the Chargers would be adding six first round picks, and six second round picks, over the next three seasons. Pick correctly and that is twelve new starters....

It seems I'll be in the minority on this hypothetical proposed trading of Joey Bosa and Derwin James. But I say there's no way you should trade either of these guys. Yes, in hindsight they have not always been available and maybe neither is the TOP at his position. But both are excellent players already. A draft pick ALWAYS brings the chance of a bust or an injury ( Charger fans know all about that!) What would we want with our first round pick? I'll tell you- we'd want a really good pass rusher, maybe someone kind of like... IDK... Joey Bosa?? Or maybe we'd want to upgrade our secondary with an athletic specimen at Safety, kind of like... IDK... Derwin James?? Out of the 32 first rounders picked every draft, how many actually live up to the potential super-star level? Half? Maybe less? Give me the proven quantity. No one is perfect so I'll live with a few frustrations and take the bad with the good, I mean GREAT!

It’s certainly rational to hold on to the “devil you know.” I just think that their lack of availability over time weighs in favor of aggregating picks in rds 1-3 and staying cheap, allowing further cap space to get some more proven vets.
