Thats like saying nobody mentioned KA's horrible game... It doesn't matter. The problem with this team starts from the head coach and goes up IMO, Herbert is clearly the only bright spot this organization has. Actually, it's not like that and it does matter. I know you like to blame management for everything. Justin Herbert was the X Factor. The absolute difference maker. The fact that he was awful in a game where he had to carry extra weight is a huge reason why we lost. I love Justin but his performance today was the single biggest reason why we lost. Really? Yet we gave up 41 points to the Texans? 189 yards rushing to the worst rushing team in the league, who had just 2 100 yards rushing games before this one? We let the ****ing Texans convert 9 of 13 3rd downs? NINE OF THIRTEEN!? Yup, all on Herbs. Good take.

Our defense let the worst team in the league basically on offense control the clock and score at will. This game ****ing sucked.

I honestly don't think any person on this board would blame one single aspect or person on this loss, it was def shared. But if I had a pie chart that showed why and how we lost, the defense and lack of talent would fill most of it. The buck stops with TT and Staley, that is why I blame them.

Three turn overs. No 3rd down D. Lots of players out showing = coaching. not to mention playing a 3-11 team Yep I'd say this was a team loss.
This team has no identity. so you get something different each week.

I have been saying that all year.....the roster is improving, but not there yet. Staley is mediocre at this point...... They were absolutely a playoff quality team 10 days ago. I saw a team that was capable of beating the 31 other teams. There were other factors today, but a couple of star players on big $$$ contracts let down their 60+ teammates with their “personal decision” that sunk the franchise in 2021. They got a scare a couple of weeks ago when they could have taken action, but no dice. 😡 The bright side is that it makes one off-season decision a lot easier to make. You’re finally with me on trading Bosa? Between the concussions and Covid decisions he is not worth the contract

Luckily I didn’t have to sit through this torturous shit show. Caught some mahi mahi instead off the coast of Sayulita.
I did the see the stats and David Mills outplayed the pro bowl QB. Rex Burkhead had a career day, TOP sucked and they couldn’t stop the Texans on 3rd down. I get that we had a lot of guys out with Covid but so did the Texans. Opie the wonder boy head coach is getting out coached by a guy named Culley. We gave him a pass when Belichick and Harbaugh schooled him but boy oh boy.

The Bolts are a middle-of-the-road team playing like a middle-of-the-road team with middle-of-the-road coaching. This offseason will be key to getting the team into championship shape.
Chargers’ list of needs for 2022:
- New coordinators - ROT, ROG, OL depth - DL - RB - CB - Safety depth - Special teams
Get on it, Telesco.

I honestly don't think any person on this board would blame one single aspect or person on this loss, it was def shared. But if I had a pie chart that showed why and how we lost, the defense and lack of talent would fill most of it. The buck stops with TT and Staley, that is why I blame them. I'm trying to articulate a lucid thought but I'm still burned up by this unfathomable loss for my words to come out right. Something about lack of talent applies to EVERY team- no one has three rows deep of quality players. Some teams have more than others- ok, fine. But GREAT coaches play to their players strengths and strategize around their weaknesses. Staley- unlike me- is a wordsmith. He sounds great when he talks, and he's so loveable Ted Lasso-esque. But the ACTIONS on gameday reveal he has a lot to learn still. Waah, we didn't have some key starters- the TEXANS had more starters out than we did, and EVERYBODY nationwide would've expected our second string to roll their starters anyway! Why didn't we?? Because our coaches are myopic- they only see the bright star in Herbert, and for as shiny as he is the coaches need to stop drooling over him and look at the warts and scars on the rest of this team- that's where Staley needs to coach and gameplan! It's lazy coaching to think a super star QB can just go play and bail out the team. Staley should've had a better prepared defense before this game BUT FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE can you please make a halftime adjustment to stop the lowly Texans from manhandling the defense and running down our throat? ?!?!? How about running that no-huddle, sped-up offense sooner? How about NOT slinging the ball to wide-receivers who need to be back by dinner time to work their DoorDash shifts? We had ten days to plan for the second-worst team in the league. Evidently, the coaches took a nine-day Christmas Cruise instead. Lazy, lazy, LAZY! So it's not the lack of talent because every team often has to play with backup players they just called up from the local temp agency. It is being out-worked and out-smarted by the other team's coaches because they didn't bring a one-size-fits-all-gameplan to a game and instead figured out the workarounds to their band of misfits and castoffs. Staley has to stop the "I'll have Justin Herbert throw it- he's good at throwing" strategy, and actually spend the time and creative effort on masking the weaknesses and playing to the strengths of the entire team.

A worse loss than against the Patsies almost a year ago. We’ll find out what the coaching staff and roster is made of in one week’s time at SoFi.
For now, they’re Rams fans hoping for a W over the wounded Ravens next week.
