Surprising what the Heat is doing to the Celtics in Boston. I could have almost understood it if this happened last year, but this year, yes very surprising. This Cinderella run for the Heat has to end at some point though, right ?

Butler is possibly the most clutch player in the NBA today, but they need consistency, and historically his offensive production comes in spurts as opposed to being consistent. Of the 4 Teams remaining, I’d probably be the most content seeing the Heat win the Championship, but it’s not easy to buy in to the thought that Butler may broken the mold which has shaped his legacy. Unlike years past, I don’t think this Heat Team has enough beyond him & Bam to get it done, should Butler start having any of his quiet nights…

Anyway, this isn’t a very good look for the Eastern Conference having the #8 seed steamroll everyone, so they better finish the job this time…

I think he’ll want to play after a month or so when this wears off but I also think he’ll want to see what the Lakers do roster wise. AD is not a reliable guy to be the #1 and Lebron is too old to be the #2 at this point. Lebron had to try and do it himself last night and ran out of gas at half time. Nobody else stepped up to shoulder the load |

Celtics could do something that has never been done before in the NBA coming back from an 0-3 hole. If they win in Miami on Saturday it’s a lock. Interesting series because if you go down the rosters the Celtics are better at almost every position. Jimmy Butler is really the only guy on the Heat that might be better than his counterpart but that’s close if it’s between he and Tatum. The UDFA Heat story was a good one but they’ve wilts in games 4 and 5. History in the making

History on Monday Haha, definitely not a lock, but I sure as hell wouldn’t bet in Miami’s favor. Regardless of which way it goes, there will be some history. Either the 1st ever 0-3 comeback, or only the 2nd time a #8 seed makes the Finals (and first time since the play-in Tournament was introduced). As I said a few days ago, it should make Heat fans nervous if Butler is the main reason why they have been overachieving, because you aren’t going to get a masterpiece from him every night. The past few years Game 7’s have been mostly disappointing, being 20 or so points apart in a few cases. Hopefully this one will be different, and come down to the wire. It’s no surprise that last night’s final seconds featured Butler & Derrick White, as they are both near the very top of the NBA when it comes to clutch players. It’d be great to see something similar for Game 7, but I have a feeling that was our Game 7 type moment (and truthfully that will be very hard to top as well). Meanwhile the Nuggets are sitting out in the rain, building up a heavy coat of rust…
