Albert Breer had some really good insight on this: Belichick--you have to turn the whole show over to him. For what 2 years before retirement ? Vrabel- The Tenn. owner said it wasn't even fun to come to work everyday anymore. These guys are old school, and a lot of owners are moving on. As a follow up to my great great post above: The Ravens DC got the Seattle job, and the Washington job is going to Dan Quinn. Belichick and Vrabel are out of a job. This just confirms it for me that Vrabel has more baggage than we realize. No reason for him not to have a job the way the media was swooning over him.

Chargers signed Corey Krawizc, player eval & analytics from Bal. This is Hortiz' guy. They have a lot of players to review. Chargers current, soon to be ex and potential incoming.

WR Quentin Johnston says he’s “due” for a breakout season with Jim Harbaugh at head coach, he told ESPN.
“I didn’t really get a chance to show who I really was and what type of player I am, but I still got the world of confidence in myself even if nobody doesn’t. And so, you know, going into this next season, I can’t wait. Like I said, I feel like I’m due for a breakout, so I’m very excited for that.”

After extensive review of the opening presser I can now accurately predict that our first pic will be Tackle Joe Alt.
"it all starts with the offensive line"

After extensive review of the opening presser I can now accurately predict that our first pic will be Tackle Joe Alt. "it all starts with the offensive line" That's an astute observation and prediction, Amped. I certainly wouldn't hate that pick but it's not my first choice for this team this year. There's a few prospects on the offensive side that I'd be OK with taking at 5, but oddly no defensive players seem top-five worthy this year. Right after our season ended ( so around week 8) I was really liking Malik Nabors the WR from LSU as our first round pick. (Would still love MHJ over anyone in this draft, but once the draft order was set it was clear that he'd be gone before our pick.) However, after winning the coaching carousel I'm now leaning towards Brock Bowers as the best match for the vision of our Harbaugh-style team. He fills a need, he is an elite talent, he is versatile, he can block, he can catch and run, he can create mismatches, he is a tough kid, he comes from a big school and faced real competition; he's about as safe as there is for what you'd like from a top 5 pick, the potential to be pro-bowler soon. Even though it's still rather early in this draft season, I'm jumping on the Brock Bowers bandwagon. I didn't start this train and there's a lot of people- "experts", fans, and expert fans of the CMB- way ahead of me already making this prediction. But I'm on board.

I just want to say that you guys SUCK at the Harbaugh-staff-part of this HARBAUTH STAFF thread.
Lemme help a little: Minter coming in as DC. Mike Devlin O-Line. Jay Harbaugh coming in but as the SAFETIES coach. Ficken to remain as Special Teams Coach.
The last two probably reflect the all-day final negotiations bringing Harbaugh into LA in the first place. Jim's son gets to be on the staff, but we don't have to part with our best Coordinator from last year.

Curious why the OC announcement is taking so long... Looks to be Greg Roman, I am cool with it, this will be the best Passing QB he has ever had.

Greg Roman is one of the Shining stars of John Carrol university.
His rush yards ranking on his teams was ranked 8th in the league one time, he has never ranked lower than top 4 other than that.
