Debatable, but I agree with everything else. We don't go from bottom of the barrel defense to number 1 in a season, I don't care who your coach is. Especially since we did little to improve that side of the ball... For us to have any sort of success or to even sniff the playoffs we need pre Staley Herbert. A top 10 rush offense would be icing on the cake, I think Roman needs to show something in year 1. Bottom of the barrel to the top takes more than a coach. Granted. 1st ,We weren't bottom of the barrel in personnel. 2nd, we added some quality players and depth. 3rd Ben Herbert. The players feel stronger, faster, more durable. 4th Minter and his position coaches are all head and shoulders better than DC Staley & staff.
Having the best Edge rush group in the NFL (Bosa, Mack, Tuli, Dupree +1) is both real, it's BIG and Minter has some great ideas on how to leverage that. The LBs and DBs are feasting thus far in practice and vs Seattle. Special Teams is threatening to be NFL best.
You're the best cheerleader this forum has, bless you Jim. I hope you are right and all that translates into results on the field during the regular season and beyond. We need the "expectation" to meet reality for once and we paid a ton for it this time.

I think we're going to enjoy the Harbaugh Effect.

I'm looking forward to the Rams game. Hopefully we get a look at Ladd, Vidal, Jr Colson, Tart. See if we get the offense looking at least halfway decent at run and pass. See if the D holds them to less than 16 pts. See if STs is consistently great again. It should be fun. W - L immaterial but W is better. Get some offense going and play shut-down D, killer STs. I see they're trying Woods at CB. Not a bad idea. Hate to waste the speed and ball skills.
