I'm looking forward to the Rams game. Hopefully we get a look at Ladd, Vidal, Jr Colson, Tart. See if we get the offense looking at least halfway decent at run and pass. See if the D holds them to less than 16 pts. See if STs is consistently great again. It should be fun. W - L immaterial but W is better. Get some offense going and play shut-down D, killer STs. I see they're trying Woods at CB. Not a bad idea. Hate to waste the speed and ball skills. I just am not feeling his game. I know the previous staff loved him for his athleticism, but he cannot put it all together. That's my take on him. He's failing at safety so let's look at him at CB ?

I’m hearing Spiller needs to show the league he can play because the Chargers want to trade him.

My take: Still and Leonard are starter material. Which is nice. Still is only a rookie but he stays healthy he will become a fan favorite. Good cover good tackler football player.
Vidal and Patterson need to be our RB depth. Send Spiller packing.
Stick is bad. Perez impressed again being off the street brand new. Down field throws are night and day difference.
Dicker is all pro level and a huge pro bowl snub.
WR depth is still a battle !! That freakin Fehoko will not go away and we are proud of him for fighting to make our roster no matter what happens.

Leonard had a nice game, enough so that it would be surprising if he didn't make roster. Same could be said of Vidal. He simply looked like a RB should. I do not think Stick is bad, he is jut reserve level talent. I don't care who they keep for reserve QB, if he is playing, you are losing. Dicker is money....... WR room is tough. Rice slipped a good bit, might (should?) end up being the typical late round pick getting cut. The offence is still a problem.....is that by design, or are they really a problem?

One highlight was QJ rising up and catching the ball with his hands. He had a great day.

The backups on offense aren't consistently bad or good except for Leatherwood. Bad. All starters won't be perfect but we can expect much better. I noticed that the run blocking was better for the most part. Play calls seemed more aggressive, better executed but with hiccups. Sorry to see Alt making mistakes but it's a learning experience.

Do you think they are designing the offense to be bad? I think Roman will want to keep his job in the long run, designing your offense to be bad seems counterproductive to that.
Not having Herbert is huge... He has no meaningful practice, reps, or games with new personnel and coaching staff. We'll likely lose more games early in the season because of it, but it won't be by design and it won't be due to talent.

No, not what I meant of by design. I was thinking they might have prioritized certain aspects they wanted to see on tape. Such as if it was 3rd and one, there are any number of plays that might get called, but they want to see this RB run this play....so they can evaluate everything about the play. I imagine the play options are significant, so learning what works, or doesn't, is important. Regardless of reason, the offence is not producing, and that should be a concern.

It would not surprise me to see the bolts lay an egg in the September game(s). I will be looking for good halftime adjustments that shows the coaches can adapt to the situation. There is talent on the team, coaches need to create a game plan to get the win!

There are a lot of connections coaches to each other, coaches to players but yes, it's a new team. The time that coaches spent together in OTAs had a lot to do with planning. Harbaugh is in charge and open to any staff or players with ideas or questions. They should be in the ball park by now. I'm glad you mentioned halftime adjustments. We have been one of the worst teams in the NFL in the 3rd qtr in recent years. THAT definitely needs to improve.
