If your theory about the trade hurting the Clippers' chances of acquiring a FA is correct, it would seem that the Raptors' chances of resigning Kawhi improved noticeably. The only things we know for sure, are that Kawhi has one tough situation to walk away from, and that the Clipoers have heavy interest in signing him (as should many other teams). What other teams he would actually consider going to (including the Clippers) is purely speculation. Kawhi certainly never gave any indication. Logic says the Clippers would be a good destination for him to consider, but we don’t know what he actually thinks about that, and there are also plenty of reasons why he may not want to go there. I thought of a good reason to leave. You guys posted only three players have won championships on two different teams. Has anyone ever done it on 3 teams ? I doubt it, and it would cement a legacy with that new record. These guys are funny/weird. They get more money than they need, so it seems like champs and records is what motivates them. I heard a great segment on the radio about how it has changed. Talking about Bird and Magic. In those days your high school won the state champs, you went to the best basketball college in your state, and when you were drafted you never even thought about going to another team. It really has changed.

Jachba - are you going to the parade on Monday ? I’ll be there, with my kids. Could be a one in a lifetime event, so I took the day off, and we’re gonna make the trip up. Would love to, but can't for a number of reasons. Hope you and your kids have a memorable day. Ooooooo, jachba I need your help !! I have long had a debate on here with the Goalie and others: They say "You want to beat the best to be the best" "You have to beat the Patriots full on to be champs" !! I say bullcrap, give me Buffalo, or make me play NE when Tom Brady is injured. I'll take it anyway I can get it. My question is, does it detract from winning the champ. from an injured GSW team ? Give me honest injun answer please.

It’s not the winning Championships on different teams that is a rare accomplishment, it’s the winning of the Finals MVP Award on different teams that is limited to only 3 individuals. Nobody has done that with a 3rd team. Perhaps breaking that barrier could serve as his next goal, but it’s going to be a very tough one to achieve, and one thing Kawhi has been very consistent about is that he is not big on individual accomplishments. On the Finals MVP award specifically, see the below video. After he got done saying that his entire team deserved the award, he left the trophy on the table as he exited the presser. Did he just simply forget it, or was it a metaphor that he was sharing the award with his teammates ? I’m sure there are many others who would have had a death grip on that thing the entire night. I believe that Kawhi is truly a team-first guy, and unlike with the Spurs he is with a group he trusts and feels comfortable with.

Even with Thompson in the lineup from start to finish, the Raptors got two of their four wins. Judging by the way they played even with injuries, the Warriors would in all likelihood have still defeated any other team in the Finals.

Take it anyway you can get it. I figured as much. The goalie and others are too cool I guess.

Am I worried about him possibly signing on with the Lakers ? Hell no. There is a better chance of him signing on with the Edmonton Eskimos. Kawhi isnt the guy who joins superteams, he’s the guy who takes them down...

1 Guard and 3 Forwards, one of which is not in the playoffs. So what exactly is this list ? Sounds similar to what is called the NBA MVP Award, because it certainly can’t be about who is the top dog in these playoffs. There is only one guy on your list who is in the race for the MVP Award though, and it sure isn’t Durant. It’s a 2 man race for the MVP, and you didn’t even mention the other guy who is in the race, who BTW is also a top candidate for the DPOY award. Oh yeah, his team also finished the regular season with the best record in the NBA and their biggest losing streak was 2 games (and only happened once). He’s not surrounded by an All-NBA teammates either, so is constantly facing double & triple teams. But I’m guessing he didn’t make your list because you’ve never actually watched him play. You’re probably not alone though, as I expect Moe to tell us about his first time watching him any day now as well... Two man race ? James Harden will win. Book it now. Hi Freak !

Hi Freak ! Congrats to the Greeky !!!! How have you been ? Still partying in Toronto ? What's the feel there for Leonard ? I mean I know they are feverish about keeping him, but does he stay ? I had to get outta Toronto immediately following the parade, as I had to coach a softball game back home that same night. It’s a good thing we watched the parade from right outside the train station, or else we’d probably still be waiting in line there for an outgoing train. To my knowledge, Kawhi is still hanging out in Toronto with his girlfriend & kids, which I see as very encouraging. He’s been seen at a BlueJays game, at Niagara Falls and apparently even at a Nursery School with his daughter. Somebody who didn’t like all this photoshopped some images of him buying some moving boxes at Home Depot, the same day he was at the BlueJays game (last Thursday). Everywhere else he was legitimately spotted, there were videos taken, but this one was just a set of still photos. To make it look even more of an obvious hack jack, he was personally in the store buying the boxes, while his (non-public figure) helpers waited for him in the parking lot to help him put them in a vehicle. With Kawhi’s enigmatic nature I don’t think there will ever be a slam dunk indication of what he’s gonna do, until it’s done. But I’ve got a pretty good feeling about him sticking around...

That trifecta of 3 Champs on 3 teams, and 3 MVP's is very nagging............unknown factor of desire for that.............. In all honesty, the team that he is supposedly going to meet with, that concerns me the most is Philly. He grew up as a Sixers fan (Iverson era), and the thought of winning a Championship on the team you were a fan of as a kid, could be appealing to a guy who has the luxury of not needing to prove anything else. If he does go to the Sixers, I would say they have a very good chance of winning the title next year too. I still think the trust & chemistry he has with the Raptors prevails though, at least for a short term extension....
