With the trade deadline coming up, is there any chance the Chargers make a deal?
There's a few offensive linemen rumored to be available, and that's clearly our biggest need (but not the only need).
We have some players that may benefit from being moved to another team, such as Tyrod Taylor and Desmond King. And I've seen Melvin Ingram and Mike Williams in some wild rumors.
I could see Tyrod traded to the Cowboys (or Redskins/Patriots/Jets) for a late round pick or perhaps an offensive lineman (not a stud, but maybe a salary dump or an up-and-comer).
Any other trade ideas from the CMB or speculation you've heard online?

I brought this up in another thread. Thinking the same thing, there are teams needing to cut weight and prepare for next year. Get OL and WR.

I would be surprised to see Telesco make big moves. Not his style and there’s little to support a thought that a key player or two would put the Chargers back into playoff contention. Unless it’s strategic moves for next season/salary cap, I just don’t see it.

But if you only ask for little, I'll deliver something.

I wouldn't trade for anyone at this point unless it was a proven all-pro Olineman, and nobody will give those up for what we'd be willing to pay. As we've seen with Turner and Okung, player trades just seem to involve other teams trash or disgruntled players.

I’d argue that 9 losses the same way last season and having Anthony Lynn’s staff still in charge of these close games means we will usually not lose by much. But we will lose.

trading Mel would hurt more than help at this point IMO. Interesting he had no OL trades, just an FA sign. But why is he still FA?

I don’t find his videos very interesting. The content is usually uninformed opinions and speculation, clickbait lists, etc., but the production quality is good. I wish there was a really good Chargers channel on YouTube.

I'd trade Lynn and Steichen for Urban Meyer...

Wonder what TT could get for Lynn? He’d have to package him up with picks even if it were the Jets on the other side of the table.

I'd trade Lynn and Steichen for Urban Meyer... I am not against bringing in a new coach at the end of the season if they don’t have a winning record, but I can’t stomach Urban Meyer. 🤢 Yes, he got results in the college setting, but for me it goes back to his willingness to his Barry Switzerish willingness to provide safe harbor for a lot of bad human beings. Switzer wasn’t a good NFL coach, he inherited a massively talented Cowboys team that Jimmuh built & went downhill as the talent left / retired.

Urban Meyer is a alot different than Switzer and our Chargers are nowhere near the 90's Cowboys, but I do get your point. We still have a GM with a set philosophy, so I'm not worried about bad apples... Urban Meyer has a winning record, that's all I care about.
